We have some craft fairs lined up so people can find, browse and purchase in person.
Our first market is Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May at Crathes Castle, Aberdeenshire. Run by Exclusively Highlands this has lots and lots of talented makers with a wide range of items being showcased. We will have a table inside at this event along with plenty of other stalls but there are also lots of outside vendors at this too and Crathes gardens and grounds are lovely location in the area for a day out. Along with what is currently in stock on the website we will have the new Bean Nighe/ Washerwoman, Fairy and Fairy King figures available for the first time at the fair.
Our next event which we are all excited for, as my family have got tickets to go to it, is the Aden Fantasy Festival on Sunday 9th July at Aden Country Park in Mintlaw. This is a family orientated fantasy themed festival run by Northern Frights. It sounds super fun with lots of magic and fantasy themed entertainment. We've not been to Aden Country Park before so looking forward to seeing it and hopefully its great weather for this event. Since this is Fantasy themed we will be making sure have plenty of our mythical range in stock for this - more Nessie's, Fairies and hopefully some new figures (Selkies, wee folk/gnome figures).
The summer isn't a great time for making products due to school holidays so although ideally I'd like to find some other local fairs to attend this year I am concentrating on these ones I have already signed to. Other local craft fairs coming up have also had dates clashing with other things on unfortunately. If I see any suitable ones to attend I will be posting updates and info.
At the end of the Summer holidays we will be attending another Exclusively Highlands event at Ellon Castle Gardens on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th August. This is another event hoping for lovely summer weather to make browsing the outside gazebo stalls more enjoyable for everyone. We hope to have our new Wildcat Kittens and drying Cormorant Figures ready and available at this fair, we should still have plenty of time to make and test prototypes and make small batches ready.
Currently our last 2023 craft fair to attend is 30th September and 1st October at Innes House, Near Elgin in Moray another one run by Exclusively Highlands and is an indoor event.
Updated to add, we are also attending Exclusively Highlands fair on Saturday 7th October at Balmoral Castle, this is going to be a large outdoor fair and we're excited to go and see what everyone else is selling.
We hope to find some suitable Christmas craft fairs to attend but haven't yet. We will update with any new crafts fair dates as we go on social media.
