Wee Folk in hiding places.

Our new little gnome's or 'wee folk' figures have been designed so that they can hide inside the centre 'tunnel' section of our tall and low bushes or caves. The standing figure makes a great small child too.

These are versatile little characters and nicely pocketable for small hands to take around on adventures. These small pieces are classed as a small part so are toys for over 3's who don't stick things in mouths, the wee gnomes are that bit smaller than the small Redcap figure as demonstrated in the image above.

The 2 piece bush, cave or wee gnome hiding places are available in various styles, currently there is summery green, autumnal colours and icy winter caves (this has a shimmer glaze) with grey stone caves coming soon.

To help create forests and enhance our range there are small 2 piece trees available, currently in pink blossom, green, mottled autumnal colours and winter snowy evergreen (with shimmer glaze). All the small trees have a coloured canopy piece and a separate brown trunk which works alone as a tree stump. We're big fans of various other wooden toy brands trees for both playing and display, creating a forest of mixed tree pieces is lots of fun and magical providing a great setting for fairy tale play or animal figures. These tree pieces complement the wee gnomes and their hiding places well.

We think all these new toy pieces are fun additions to the Storm Kelpie Workshop range, the stone caves (coming soon) may have windows and a door painted on one side to enhance the idea of 'wee folk' living in them. This could potentially be added to the others in the future, feedback on this would be greatly appreciated and we've made a poll below.

Should we add houses and a door to one side of the inner piece of our 2 piece bushes and caves?

  • 0%yes - add this to all of them

  • 0%No - keep all of them basic and versatile for imagination.

  • 0%Only add them to the Grey Caves
