Cat Sith are a type of black coloured fairy cat or some say a witch turned into one after completely using up their 8 earlier chances to appear in cat form. Cat Sith can apparently place curses (such as curdling the milk from any livestock) on households that don't leave out a saucer of milk on Hallowe'en. They are described as being as big as a large dog and walking on their hindlegs like a person. In some superstition black cats are said to be evil and bring bad luck and so cunningly the Cat Sith is said to have a white patch on its chest to pretend it isn't. A great Scottish fairytale creature to bring to your small world play, not only at Hallowe'en.

It is made from Lime wood and measures approximately 5.5cm wide by 13cm tall and 2.8cm thick across its front. Like our other products it is cut out and then hand carved to shape before hand sanding, staining and painting making each one slightly unique and so the item you receive will differ slightly from the images shown. Please bear in mind you are purchasing a handcrafted product and minor manufacturing marks, carving misshaping and small paint flaws are not seen as errors but as enhancing each pieces individual character.

Like our other figures it has been made and tested to be UKCA conformant for those aged 3 years and over who no longer mouth their toys, this is due to the risk of small parts forming when broken and the base wood not having been tested. It can be cleaned gently using a soft damp lint free cloth and like all wooden products would benefit in future from occasional refinishing with a suitable clear child safe EN71-3 certified wax or sealer to further protect it.

Price is for one individual figure as described.

Warning: Small parts choking hazard not suitable for under 36months!
