Gannets are large majestic looking sea birds known for their fishing skills of diving into the water from the sky and their yellow patches on their heads and neck.  At Troup Head in Aberdeenshire there is home to the largest mainland Gannet colony in the UK.  This Gannet listing only has black tips to its wings but we also have some previous stock with black tail tips too, please see separate listing for that version.
 
The figure is made of Lime wood and measures approximately 11cm long by 7/7.5cm high and 1.5cm wide.  Like all our products it is cut out, hand carved, sanded and painted and finished and each will vary slightly from the product images shown.  Minor manufacturing marks, carving misshaps or paint errors are not seen as flaws but as enhancing each pieces individual character, please bear in mind you are purchasing a handcrafted product.
 
Our toy figures are made and tested to be UKCA conformant for those aged 3 years and over who no longer mouth their toys, this is due to small parts forming if broken and our base wood not being tested.  Our products can be cleaned by gently wiping with a slightly damp lint free cloth and would benefit from occasional refinishing with a child safe EN71-3 certified clear wax or other sealer to further protect it.
