Guillemots are small sea birds from the Auk family and can dive very deep to feed.  These small birds are a particular favourite of ours having watched many mother guillemots and their young floating about in their pairs while sailing the west coast over many years.
 
Our guillemot is made from Lime wood and measures approximately 5.5-6cm long by 3-3.5cm height and 1.5cm thick.  Our products are cut and then shaped by hand carving and painting making each one unique and therefore they will differ from the images shown.  Minor manufacturing marks, carving misshaping and paint errors are not seen as flaws but as enhancing the indivudual character of each piece, please bear in mind you are purchasing a handmade product.
 
Items can be cleaned by wiping with a slightly damp lint free cloth.  Like with many wooden items it would benefit from occasionally refinishing with a child safe clear wax or other EN71-3 certified sealer for longer protection.  All our products are made and tested to be UKCA confomant as being safe for those aged 3 years and above who no longer mouth toys, this is due small parts and that the base wood is not tested.
