This is a 2 piece wooden toy Bush or Cave scenery piece for small world play and imaginative toy scenes. Currently the options available are Summer Green (Darker Green inner piece), Autumnal (Orange, brown and green outer wit brown inner) and Ice Cave (white and blues with a coat of shimmer glaze, inner piece is darker blues). The Summer Green and Autumnal bushes have branch details carved onto one side of the inner section (see second and last image).
The inner section when removed creates a little tunnel which our Wee Sitting Gnome is designed to hide inside although other small toy figures may fit too. The inner section alone can work as a perch or another small bush/rock/ice block for example. There are other pieces in our range that complement this wooden toy available in separate product listings.
This wooden toy is made of Lime wood and measures approximately 6/6.5cm tall, 7.25cm wide and 2.8cm thick. The inner section is roughly 3.25cm tall by 3.5cm wide and the same thickness. This wooden toy bush has been cut out, then shaped by hand carving before hand sanding, staining and sealing making each piece a little unique in character and so will differ slightly from the images shown. Please bear this in mind that you are purchasing a handcrafted product and minor manufacturing marks, paint errors or carving mishaps are not seen as flaws but as enhancing the individual nature of our wooden toys.
Like all our wooden figures it can be gently wiped clean using a slightly damp lint free cloth and we would recommend in the future resealing with a suitable EN71-3 certified child safe clear wax or other suitable finish to further extend its protection.
We make and test our wooden toys to be UKCA conformant for ages 3 and over who no longer mouth their toys. This is due to our base wood not being chemically tested and the risk of small parts forming if broken. All the stains, paints and sealers we use for our wooden figures are certified EN71-3 as child safe.
