Morag the Monster of Loch Morar is a similar story to the better known Nessie of Loch Ness but is described by a few 'sightings' as being more of a sea serpent type creature. Loch Morar is a large freshwater loch on the west coast near Arisaig and Mallaig which is known for its variety of wildlife habitats. Making her a sea serpent type monster distinguishes her from our Nessie who we've made more of a plesiosaur type creature and means we can offer both types of Loch Monster. The images above showing a Loch and one of our Morags is taken at Loch Morar.
Morag is made of Lime wood and measures approximately 22/22.5cm long by 14/14.5cm high and 2.8cm thick. Each of our products is cut out then hand carved and painted making each one slightly unique and so the one you will receive will differ slightly from the product images shown. Please bear in mind you are purchasing a hand crafted item and minor carving misshaps, painting errors and manufacturing marks are not seen as errors but as part of the individual character of the pieces.
Our products can be wiped clean with a slightly damp lint free cloth and as with other wooden items we recommend occasionally refinishing the figure with a child safe EN71-3 certified clear wax or sealer to further extend its protection. Our items are made and tested to be UKCA conformant for those aged 3 years and over who no longer mouth toys, this is due to the risk of small parts forming and our base wood being untested.
The price is for one item as described.
Warning: small parts choking hazard not suitable for under 36months!
