A much recognised emblem of Scotland is the Thistle, here in wooden toy form for enhancing small world play scenes.  Purple Thistle are what many people associate as the well known Scottish emblem but the spiky thistles in the wild look more Pink and so we have created both options for our range.
 
Made of Lime wood it measures approximately 5.5cm high by 4cm wide and 1.5cm thick. Like the other wooden toy figures in our range it has been cut out and then shaped further by hand carving before hand sanding, painting and sealing the product. Due to the handcrafted nature of our work each piece is a little unique in style and feel, we believe this and any minor paint errors, manufacturing marks or carving mishaps are not flaws but enhance the individual character of our pieces. Please bear this in mind when making a purchase.
 
Our products can be cared for by gently wiping clean with a slightly damp lint free cloth.  Like all wooden items it would benefit by resealing in the future with a suitable EN71-3 certified child safe clear wax or other finish in order to further maintain it for longevity.
 
Our wooden toys are made and tested to be UKCA conformant for those aged 3 years and over who no longer mouth their toys.  This is due to the size of some of our items and the risk of small parts forming it broken and our base wood has not been chemically tested.  All the stains, paints and sealers we use are certified EN73-3 child safe.
