Here are mini wooden toy figures that can be a Gnome, Elf, Sprite or other non-winged Fairy 'Wee Folk' character in small world play. Inspired by the many Scottish stories of 'wee folk' and 'fairy folk' these pieces are designed to fit inside the centre section of our Tall or Low Bush and Cave pieces that are available separately. Although we are calling these a Wee Gnome these pieces can be played with in a variety of ways and we think the standing version also makes a nice small child figure.
 
Options are (sizes are approximate):
Standing Gnome - measures 2.5cm across by 2cm front to back and 4.7-5cm tall and is designed to fit in Tall Bushes or Caves. Purple or Green option.
 
Purple- Purple outfit, a red and yellow dotted light blue hat and red boots and has brown hair.
 
Green- matching Green hat and coat with Scandinavian knitwear inspired red and green lines and dots patterning to edges, black hair and red gloves and boots.
 
Sitting Gnome - Light Blue measures 2.3cm across the front by 2.7-3cm front to back and is around 3.3cm tall. These fit inside the Low Bush or cave pieces. This character wears a green tartan hat, red trousers, light blue jacket, dark blue boots and has black hair and beard.
 
They are all made out of Lime wood and have been cut out and further shaped by handcarving before hand sanding, staining, painting and sealing making each piece we create a little unique in character and so the item you receive with differ slightly from the images shown. Please bear in mind you are purchasing a handcrafted product and minor manufacting marks, carving misshaps and paint errors are not seen as flaws but as enhancing each pieces individual character.
 
All our wooden toys can be gently wiped clean using a slightly damp lint free cloth and we would recommend in the future refinishing with a suitable clear EN71-3 certified child safe natural wax or sealant to further extend its protection for longevity. We make and test our figures to be UKCA conformant for ages 3 and over who no longer mouth their toys due to our base wood not being tested and the small size of these pieces means it is classed as a small part choking hazard. All our range uses plastic free child safe EN71-3 certified stains, paints and sealer.
