SLOW MADE, UK MADE, HANDMADE WOODEN TOYS
We make unique handcrafted wooden figures using as environmentally friendly products as possible to meet our requirements. The blank shapes are cut out and each figure is hand carved to shape giving each wooden toy its own individual character. The figures are stained, painted and sealed with EN71-3 certified child safe products that are as natural based as can be to maintain the integrity of a toy made from a natural material while also being hard wearing in play with a good level of protection.
Our wooden toy figures are handmade with care and plenty of time so have a special unique quality that makes each figure suitable as decorations, souvenirs or gifts not just for child play. Any minor carving misshaping, manufacturing marks and small paint errors are seen not as flaws but as enhancing the individual character of each wooden figure.
We keep the detailing and characteristics on our wooden toys to a minimum with little expression in keeping with Waldorf toy tradition. This encourages the child's own imagination when playing and keeps our wooden toy figures more open ended in their use.

SCOTTISH ANIMALS AND BIRDS
We currently focus on making Scottish Wildlife figures that are harder to find with other toy brands such as Scottish Wildcats, Capercaillies and British Sea Birds.
It is important to inspire young children to have a love for nature, the wildlife around us and the importance of conserving it. This can be done through open ended play and related activities.
